Syms Digital Ltd is a dynamic e-commerce company looking to expand our market presence. We are currently seeking a motivated and experienced Business Development Executive to join our team in London. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in developing our international supply chain partnerships and driving business growth.
The Role
As a Business Development Executive, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, managing relationships with global suppliers, and ensuring our product strategies align with market trends. You will work cross-functionally with marketing and operations teams to optimize our supply chain and revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities

Supply Chain Partnerships: Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with international supply chain stakeholders; identify suppliers and manufacturers that align with company goals.

Negotiation: Lead and manage contract negotiations with global partners to ensure mutually beneficial agreements; assess partnership opportunities by weighing benefits and risks.

Product Strategy: Work closely with product and supply chain teams to evaluate and select market-driven products; support product positioning and marketing strategies with partners.

Market Analysis: Identify and develop new business opportunities and markets; monitor industry trends and competitors to refine business strategies.

Performance Tracking: Track and report on partnership progress, ensuring alignment with revenue and growth targets; prepare regular updates for senior management.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with marketing, logistics, and operations teams to ensure project success and provide strategic insights for business improvements.
Requirements (Person Specification)

Experience: Proven experience in business development, supply chain management, or a related field. Experience with international trade (particularly with Asian/Chinese markets) is highly desirable given our supply chain focus.

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or related disciplines.

Skills:

Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Ability to analyze financial data and market trends (Financial background preferred).

Proficiency in managing cross-border supplier relationships.

Language: Fluent in English (Written and Spoken). Proficiency in Mandarin is considered a significant asset for communicating with international manufacturers.
